IMPORTANT INFORMATION New Zealand immigration policies have changed as of 1 July 2003 the principal applicant under the General skills category must have a firm NZ employment offer relative to their qualifications or work experience and this employment offer must be lodged with the application. NZIS will not accept any applications under the General Skills category which do not contain an employment offer.. The requirement of the principal applicant and non-principal applicants over the age of 16 years to have acceptable English language skills (Principal applicant must have an average mark of 6.5 in the IELTS examinations and non-principal applicants an average mark of 5).
